BELIEF DRIVES ACTION

If you don’t believe that you can find balance in your life, then you won’t.  I’m contemplating this even as I type . . .

Maybe my problem professional-speaking is that I hope too much instead of truly believing.  Perhaps that is what paralyzes me when the theory papers stack up, the music recitals overwhelm, the conferences loom, the recital is still left to be learned.  I hope I can get it all done, but do I really?  If I merely hope then fail, it allows me to continue failing.  If I believe that I will do something, then I have taken responsibility for achieving the end goal.  Sure, we still sometimes fall short, but BELIEFS are more proactive than are HOPES.  Hopes may be great for the 5 or 10 year plan, but they don’t help accomplish immediate goals.
